Welcome!
Ex-Ottawa here, now Toronto!
I just picked my 2013 HS up yesterday. I was lucky and got a short ride in before all the snow we had today.

Cheers
B

NBer here, we just got a nice mixture of snow turned to freezing rain, so my drive to work should be nice...

Hey man, welcome to the forum and the world of the Hyper! I'm also an Ottawa based [reside in Cantley, Quebec] Hyper owner and aside from a few niggles that you're sure to see mentioned, such as the front suspension and ECU issues, trust me that you've bought a killer bike. I love mine, love it, love it, love it. In fact, I have no issues at all with the suspension, but I don't push my bike as hard as I suspect some others do.

Needless to say, I can easily relate to the ferocity of this winter...it's been "extra special" :)

cheers,
Frank

Thanks for replies, I'm glad to see there's a few of us here in Canada!

Frank, I'm sure I'll feel the same way with mine!

I'm coming off an 05 Kawasaki Z1000, I was looking for something more upright, with a high fun factor. Found it!

Awesome congratulations! I'm looking for one as well, although I'd like the low set-up version if I can find one. You'll have lots of fun, it's a really nice bike.

Lemme guess. Powersport Canada?

However. We're slowly gathering a small gang in Ottawa's region. There are four of us into a 100km radius already.

How is Powersports Canada? For after sales service?

I just picked up my bike and was informed that "Ride Motorcycles" is no longer a Ducati dealer! or a Triumph dealer, or an MV Agusta dealer!

I am so disappointed.

Didn't buy from Powersports. I got it from "Ride Motorcycles"/Kahuna, last one they had.

I'll pick it up in a couple of weeks when there's less snow!

Re. Powersports in Ottawa: for me, so far, so good.

I don't have anything to gripe about...yet. I've found them to be good to work with and don't feel - again, yet - like I've gotten hosed by them in any way.

When I had my ECU issue last May, they were very quick to hook me up with a loaner, which I had for a week.

And no; I don't work there :)

Bought mine at powersports. But now service in montreal, at Monette Sports. Didnt have a great experience with my first service. But the sales experience was o.k., not great but o.k.

I almost bought mine at Monette as well. Small world.

I came close to buying it at the Montreal motorcycle show from Monette sport.

I'll probably give Powersports a try for the service, but will go to Monette if I'm not satisfied here in Ottawa.

What happened Indiepaul?

I live about an hour away from powersports. I needed to take a morning of to do first service. They were slow and were not able to reset my oil change light. Told me they would call when they figured it out. I finally got hold of them a few weeks later and was told that they now could reset the light. No big deal, but i wasnt about to take another day of work to have it done. A few other things erked me too, service manager who was booking me in took a phone call while checking me in, never showed me the waiting room. Again nothing was terrible, but nothing was great either.
Just lost confidence when they were unable to reset my oil change light at first service.

I'm having limp mode issues with mine. Brought it to Powersports here in Ottawa and they can't find the problem, they are charging me for the time. I'm furious! I leave for a motorcycle trip tomorrow ... I don't have time to ***** and complain.
