Selling my commuter (dr650) because I just retired
Replaced with a HyperS , 7500 miles all stock, canister removed.
Live in Bloomington, Mn
Had lots of Guzzi's and one Buell Uly that kicked ***! Looking forward to the more advanced Ducati.

I'll search for the oil thread now

Welcome. I'd be interested in hearing a comparo with the buell. In terms of form factor and purpose it seems similar to the hyperstrada. Unlike this and the Guzzis the strada is a mid range machine so don't be shy about twisting the throttle - somewhere around 6k things start to get interesting.

The Buell was awesome with torq galore. Like to lift the front wheel in all gears, I sold it in a moment of weakness but probably good. I'm 5'10" 144# and it was just a little big for me at 65 years old.
The Hyper drew me in because it looked similar in characteristics to the Uly. And in a way they are alike. The Hyper is smaller and lighter. My limited experience on it tells me not quite as much torq on the bottom but probably faster at the top of the range. The Buell was a real hooligan machine but raw, no ABS, TC or modes, 5 speed... old school but revolutionary too, that perimeter brake worked great, fuel in frame centralized mass kept me planted all the time. If I was 6"2x200 I'd still be riding it. Buell was a great touring mule and could pack a lot on, can probably only take half as much on the Hyper.
Check out the video I made on the Uly,
