Does anyone know the nitrogen pressure for the Hyperstrada's shock.

Maybe he let the nitrogen out of the reservoir? It's only a simple schrader valve...it must have happened before, as most manuals and instructions warn you to never mess with it.

I believe the pressure is in the 300 psi range, you'd need to take it to a suspension shop to refill it.

Just like to know these things. On my race bikes [dirt] things like nitrogen was checked regularly. The nitrogen pressure is ever important for the shock to perform properly.

The schrader valve on the shock is so easy to get at, it leads me to think it should be check from time to time.

I still would not touch that valve. Unless you have a gauge that does not let ANY gas escape you will be losing pressure. Checking is not normally necessary on a street bike, any more than annual rebuilds. I'd expect that on an offroad racer.
