Oil Level

I'm a little concerned about my oil level after having my dealer perform the 600 mile/1000 km service. If I understand the owner's manual correctly, it should be checked with the bike on a level surface, on the center stand, and with the engine cool. The correct level should be between the two lines by the window. Mine is above them as in this picture.

The manual says "perfectly upright". I would interpret that as off of the center stand. Your level should be fine where it is.

I can see that your oil is clean. If oil is too much, it burns with gas.
Let's discuss with your dealer on this matter.

Definitely check it off of the center stand. Get a helper to hold it up straight if you need to. And it should be checked again warm, after the engine is stopped for ten minutes or so.

When my Bike is on the stand it looks the same! Off the stand it's perfect!

From the manual:

Check engine oil level
Check the engine oil level through the sight glass (1) on the clutch cover. Oil level must be checked with the motorcycle perfectly upright and the engine cold. Oil level should be between the marks on the sight glass. If the level is low, top up with SHELL Advance 4T Ultra engine oil. Remove the oil filler cap (2) and top up until the oil reaches the required level. Refit the plug.

Yours looks slightly over full but not enough to be concerned about. I've found mine burns a little so it should go down in a while.

You're fine, if they were that sensitive to being over full or under full, they would all blow up on a twisty road, on the centre stand or off, just make sure the top of the oil level is inside that window. Just curious what kind of oil does you're dealership use? The Amsoil my dealer sells me is very red in color.

I (and I believe my dealer as well) use Motul 300 - and it is fluorescent green!
