i have the old style bolt on ducati seat from my 2008 hyper. is there a way to simply modify seat to add the new pin system so i can utilize my old seat?

There's always a way - with enough time and money. Based on the design changes between the old & new bikes though, I can't imagine it would be at all a simple job.

Question is, is it worth it? IME, and based on what others here have said, the 'strada seat is pretty good as is.

i just can't seem to ever get a comfy seat on a hyper or strada. the new strada seat was comfortable in showroom, but riding it only 60 miles feels a bit odd. really pushing me into the tank. does this seat soften and change over time?

Hi Cosmickites, just wondering, have you considered getting a grippier cover material for the seat, and maybe taking the bar risers off? If you're sliding forward, maybe you would like more grip, and lower bars should make it a little easier to fight the braking forces with your arms.

I do think the stock seat gets better. And, well maybe I got more used to it, and to holding on tight when it gets real busy....

I wear padded bike compression shorts which help. But I find the seat pretty comfy - I've found 3 positions: butt braced back against hump, standard, and up on the tank. Up on the tank is nice when you're really getting into it. Those , and standing, help relieve any pressure points.

Racing Seat Option?

Has anyone tried the "racing seat" that Ducati offers as an aftermarket accessory? I would agree that after about 60 miles you need the ability to move back if possible.
