My impressions switching to the new Hyperstrada from the old 1100S :

At first, I missed the old 1100s because it had better torque. But then I switched to the Sports mode and found similar torque albeit at higher revs. I like the Touring mode, most comfortable. Probably, will use urban mode only when it rains. Although it weighs more, it feels lighter than the old 1100s. Some have said that the new bike is slow but frankly, 100hp is all I need. The engine is smoother. The handling is nippier and holds the line better. The old bike tend to understeer when I'm not on the gas. The clutch pull is lighter, so much better. The handlebar is higher, more relax sitting position. But the pegs seem a bit rear-set, prefer a bit forward bias. The seat is harder, wider and doesn't allow much movement. Lastly, the meter got more settings than my handphone. :D

Nice things about the Hyperstrada: 16 liters tank, 4 more than the old bike. 3 riding modes, 2 saddlebags, grab-rail cum rack, windscreen, mainstand, engine guard, hand-adjustable rear preload, extended front fender and 2 AC power ports. Last but not least - 30,000km belt change & valve check. :)
