Hi,
I have a MTS 620 and I'M considering getting a new Hyper.
But I have a few questions still though...
I travel usually with my girlfriend and I'm not sure we can feet in the bike comfortably (although we are both small), what are your experiences here?

Can anybody post some pictures with their wives + top box please so I can have a better idea??

Thanks!

Search "girlfriends" or "wives". There's a thread on it.
Most said it was fine to ride 2 up. But, it is a very light bike with a short throw throttle so I can't imagine it being fun.

I am 6 foot tall 190 pounds, my wife is only 5 foot 2 tall and we manage with the panniers and top box fitted with no problem. However I must say it is "intimate" to say the least. My wife complains the pillion seat is too hard and the foot pegs are too high, but we did used to ride a GS1200 which will take some living up to in the touring stakes. I say go for it, the Hyper is a real fun bike, I love mine despite what is not 100% perfect.

No problem for my adult daughter and me. I weigh about 185 at 5'10" and she weighs about 110 at 5' 3".

Grab the lady up and jump on one at the dealer and see how it feels for ya. See if you can take a demo with her on it for the final signing off!

sorry no photos. i'm 5'6", my wife 5'4". panniers and a tail bag, cruising at 150 km/h on the open highway, my keeps telling me to go faster as she's bored at that speed. i said, no way, i wouldn't risk the panniers popping off at the plastic mounting points due to wind blast

Have done a week two-up, with panniers but no top box. I'm 6'1" and 175 in my gear; wifey is 5'7" and 150. We are both rather old and creaky. A piece of sheepskin on the back made it okay for the wifey.

However, when I've carried her on a more sporting ride, we sit so close that she bumps my helmet a lot. Of course, that's compared to our touring Harley, where she practically gets her own Zip Code.

Thanks a lot for all your comments!
I am almost sure that I will be getting this bike for xmas :)
Just one last question, is it treu that the ducati rear box is not water proof? if that is so, what do you think of the givi trekket box?

jaume.

This has been discussed in other threads, many owners have put Givis on the back. The Multi adapter fits the Strada too. Neither the saddlebags nor top box are truly waterproof. I've put away the OEM inner bags (which seem to be made out of heavy-duty truck tarp material) in favor of a couple of lightweight dry bags, such as used for rafting. But I don't carry heavy tools, etc. back there.
