greetings!!

I have a 2016 hypermotard 939 sp with about 3000 miles. Recently have came along with an issue in regarding shifting to neutral. Bike will go into neutral no issues when bike is turned off however when bike it stopped it will refuse to go to neutral and will bounce from 1st and 2nd gear aswell as extremely hard to shift when stopped. Any insight helps om hoping this is a common issue.

You need to adjust your clutch, I reckon, the problem being due to clutch drag. Assuming you mean that the motor is running 'when stopped'.

I had a similar problem on my 2013 Hypermotard SP.
I tried adjusting the clutch, changed the clutchplates and had the clutch disassembled several times.
In the end (after endless hours in the garage), I changed the oil, and that solved the problem.
I had only driven app 1000km on the old oil, so I have no idea why it failed.
But the old oil made the clutchplates stick together, even thoug the clutch was engaged.
Try raising your rearwheel, put the bike in neutral and start it. If your rearwheel starts spinning (also with an engaged clutch) it is propably your oil.
