Questions about ordering a Hyperstrada Low model

+1 to that! I am not able to trackstand a bicycle, but most of the time I can make a quick but full stop on my 'Strada without putting my feet down. Not so with the R6, which is wider and has much lower handlebars.

The V-twin is quite narrow. Could be partly due to the higher CG, too. How do you balance a broom? With the head up.

How did you like the throttle response, Hopeful?

Throttle response was terrific. My only problem was keeping the revs up, but I'll learn that quick. On the test ride I stalled it once while taking off because I didn't put enough throttle into it. Coming off my CB500F, it requires probably 30% more throttle to avoid stalling. My CB500F is VERY generous as far as how low you can take it on the revs.

But it's not biggie. I love revving as long as an engine loves it too. When I get my Hyperstrada, I plan on just revving it up a lot more on takeoffs and putting more effort in slowly letting the clutch out as opposed to slowly putting on throttle. Speaking of that...

How robust is the clutch in these things? I'm definitely going to be riding the clutch a lot more than I do on my CB500F for taking off from 1st.

That Honda is tuned for low end power. You'll get used to the clutch action, I don't have to spin mine up much to leave the line. I have no idea how long the new 'slip/grip' wet clutch design will last, though. No problems with mine so far...
