random bell sound - ding a ling!

Hey all

Last few weeks my bike is making a rattle sound that very much resembles a small bell. I cannot source it. It's A: very intermittent, and thus impossible to time and B: happens only for a short time, although it can happen frequently on occasion. I've heard it idling and while riding.

Any thoughts on where to begin? Do clutches make that type of noise?

nope not that unless its on one I don't know about. I have that stuff locked down. Had ordered new washers for it and everything a few weeks back. It used to make a weird vibrating sound before replacing that stuff, but this is very much like a bell.

Too late to go look but I have a theory. Last two weeks I had random radiator hose leaks on the left side. Ten bucks says when I put the radiator back on I didn't tighten it down enough at the top left. So now it's pulling out slowly from bouncing around and the bell sound is metal on metal from a loose or missing screw.
