Rear suspension adjustment

I weigh 180 #, and had a passenger also 180#. Using the knob, I adjusted the suspension to be as firm as possible. I want to reset the rear adjustments. Does anyone have any idea how many clicks/ turns to get the suspension back to my weights adjustment? Or how can I tell for sure when it is dialed in?

If you look at the adjustment knob from the opposite side of the bike you can barely see the tick marks... I don't know why they are on the backside of the adjustment, but that's that.

If you dig you'll find the right answer. I think I counted 37 clicks from lock to lock. The sight gauge is almost useless.

That knob only adjusts preload, and therefore ride height. It has no effect on spring rate or 'firmness.' You can see how much preload you are adding by just looking at the gap between the spring and the top part of the shock. It varies from zero to about 8 mm. I weigh around 175 in my riding gear, and I keep it at zero unless I am carrying a passenger - then I crank it up to max.

The Strada's shock is not that bad, but the forks definitely need help. See various threads on this forum.
