Removing luggage racks

Hi all.

Until I want to use it I'm going to remove the luggage and the racks. If you take off the lower piece you are left with four holes, do these need filling with bolts?

Cheers.

Don't think you would have to, but it would be easy to get some SS bolts that are shorter to keep a tidy look once bracket is off.

You could (it would probably be the best option IMO), but you'll need to source shorter bolts. Or just coat the inner nuts in ACF-50.

I intended taking mine off too but the Givi rack support is designed for them to be in place, so without fabbing up spacers I couldn't mount the topbox with the rack removed..

Luckily it doesn't stand out too much with the panniers removed.

Cheers. Will head into town and get something shorter for now to keep the innards clean.

Next up, tail tidy :)

I live in Kent, but work in Holborn. Have 600 miles as a target on the do for Wednesday when the first service happens :) Long weekend here I come :)

The Ducati top case support bars can be used with or without the side bag supports you can order them separately and I beleive they were just under $50 if you going to make your own top case like I did.
