Removing the front mudguard.

Hi all.

I don't like the standard front mudguard, thinking of putting the one from the Hyper on it or taking it off entirely. Anyone done this? Only issue I can think of is running the brake lines.

The black center part is glued together in one assembly with the two red sides. So I doubt you can only remove the mud guard. In the eventuality you whish to remove the whole mud guard assembly I'm afraid you will have to remove the wheel in order to do so. Other than that only four screws need to be removed and voilà.

OK, thanks for that. Removing the front wheel is fine I have no problem with that. I think I'll replace the stock unit with a cut down carbon one.

I've done this because I lowsided my strada last year and damaged the front fender.. I replaced it with the motard fender. It was cheaper and I like the way it turned out.

Just tried to change the stock Strada front fender to the carbon motard one. Can confirm that I will likely have to drop the front wheel in order to do so. A bit of a PITA IMO - I'll likely get the shop to do it since the bike is due for some other items as well.
