Has anyone fitted Rizoma bar end mirrors and kept the hand-guards and if so, what adapter did you use?
The Rizoma site is bloody useless.

WOW,

that must be a joke of you!!! You really know how to make the bike ugly!;)

I think the problem is, end mirrors on this bike is not really a hit!

Maybe Desmoworld can help you, send chris an e-mail! He makes many parts for his shop himself.

Sorry you can't read properly, if you don't know about the Rizomas, shut up. Everyone has an opinion, yours I don't need and your response is what is making this forum go downhill.

I think the problem is, end mirrors WITH OR WITH OUT HAND-GUARDS on this bike is not really a hit. Talking to Rizoma last year on the EICMA in Mailand and the guys are very friendly!;)

I hope i have now made it right for you!:p

But still you can send a mail to Chris he is very good or check out "hypermike"

Very sorry I hurt your feelings and I'm the one who make this forum bad!

I'm working on it to improve my english, but I hope you will improve your german in the future ok:p

Oh one more think I don't SHUT UP in the future is well sorry!

Thanks Bruder, unfortunately the site still doesn't tell me which bar end will work, I'll call Rizoma next week, thanks man.

BTW, seen the rizomas with handguards on YouTube and it looks rather good. Can't find the video now though. If I do it I'll upload pics and try to convince you.

I just don't see how bar end mirrors are a good alternative, function wise. Seems like they're only mounted for looks. The stock mirrors work for me. I know they don't look very cool but I've reached the function over form part of my life.

This is not a Rizoma forum so it's fair for any Hyper owner to chime in. We're all good natured people, here to help if we can. Rizoma is overpriced and makes suckers out of people, IMO. Business 101 says don't lower your prices to get customers, people will think your products are junk. I think Rizoma uses this. Everyone knows they're priced high yet they have die hard customers. My experience with them has been entirely negative after $60 each on turn signals that didn't work. Customer service that tells me they can't help and to find a dealer in my area. I didn't like the look of any of them. They were way too different from the rest of the bike, IMO.

Are you using the stock Hyper handguards? They are basically fake. They will break too easily. From experience. Mine broke, I put on Acerbis after I vinyl wrapped them to remove their vulgar advertising. They're nice with an aluminum bar and very hard plastic. Definitely not fake and will survive most off road crashes. Maybe that's why Ducati redesigned the mirrors on the new 821 Hypers and got rid of the flip-out bar ends. Maybe it wasn't practical for supermoto riding? Nonetheless, I would like to see a picture if you attain what you are tryting to do with the bar ends. It's all good fun.

Finally found the inspiration video and took a screen shot. Quality is bad but you get the gist. Looks like Rizoma Reverse Retro in MattBlack. Of course they're expensive and of course everyone has they're opinion on style / looks / quality but I'd still like to know what damn adapter to use.

Would they not use the stock early Hypermotard bar end mirror mount. The Motards had them.

There's a gap at the bar end before the handgrips that is long enough to fit those Rizoma bar end mirrors. There's a notch in the bar there for the handguards. Not sure if they need a notch so would the handguards mount to the bar after mirrors are installed? Or would the mirrors fit on after the handguards without an adapter or using longer bar end sliders to clamp to?

@chiliredlotus
Thanks for the pics. If I can turn the mirrors around so they sit over the grips, I'm in.
Cheers

the bars with handguards are wide enough as they are and adding bar end mirrors will make them even wider. it will be much more difficult to filter through traffic for city slickers like me. it's ok for those riding in the country where traffic congestion is not a problem. i will eventually replace the stock mirrors, but not with the bar end type. having said that, they still look cool, imo
