SC Project EXHAUST

These cans look great at a realistic price!
Would be keen to hear of any feedback?

that's what I thought, but would like to know if the adapter pipe removes the flapper valve and a re-flash, I'll drop them an email.

Site says something along the lines of "no ecu necessary". But, Strada's can run that style highmount anyway. Maybe something under the tail but the Motard exhaust route is right in line with bags.

Just emailed them with some questions, waiting for feedback. I'll post once i've received the info.
I've asked about info for the strada nothing else.

This is exactly the look I've been waiting for!
Forgive my lack of knowledge on moto engines (I know airplane engines which don't rely on engine maps ) but are the concerns with running a different exhaust, freer flowing, a factor of these maps being specific to exhaust back pressure?

Typically it's the cat delete that really screws with newer vehicle ECU's. The "dirtier" air over O2 sensors throws codes. And you definitely want an optimized map for all the other factors you listed.

Love this thing! Since I don't use my panniers, I actually prefer the look and function of the high mount. Might just have to order one...

Right quick update from SC Project, they emailed me quickly and here is the reply.

hello, with our exhaust and air filter you have to install our electronic
supplier, euro 160

kind regards

SO IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IS EITHER A REMAP OR THIS ELIMINATES THE MOTOR FOR THE FLAPPER VALVE.

Not a very clear response really, I'll get back on to them, hopefully I will be able to ring but can't guarantee as I'm offshore at the moment.

Just had another email from SC, answer is simple, the link pipe removes the flapper/butterfly valve from the system and the electronic box is for the mapping and eliminate the stepper motor for the exhaust valve. they recon its a must if you want max performance from their exhaust.

Hello,

I am about to get my new bike and I was thinking of getting the sc project exhaust.

However to take advantage of it I would like to remove the flapper/butterfly valve.

From what I read above the link pipe provided by sc project removes the flapper/butterfly valve from the system...

As I read that it was not the case on other forums I would please like to have confirmation if you installed this exhaust ?

Thanks a lot

I believe the valve will be removed if you install the full system, but not the case with slip-on only.
Using slip-on only requires to disconnect the valve motor? or at least the cable that moves the butterfly? does installing a servo eliminator is a good solution? (Vizi-Tec DUCATI Hyperstrada 821 Exhaust Servo Eliminator ) I'm not sure if disconnecting the cable to the butterfly (at the motor) is reversible... I'm trying to make things easy to have the bike in same condition as new in the event of visiting the dealer... warranty issues...

Totally reversible. Just a cable that you pull off a spring loaded valve. It's the square-ish aluminum cover with 2x 10mm bolts just under the slip on junction. Disconnect cable and wrap up inside cover. The servo will still actuate the cable, so be sure it won't catch anything.
