Shift-Tech vs OEM exhaust

I received my new Shift-Tech carbon fiber exhaust today and i am more than happy with it . The carbon is smooth and clean. Heat penetration on the welds are pretty consistent as well. I was nervous that it might make my exhaust note raspy(like my old Drz400 with MRD exhaust) and It didn't. It creates a nice mellow growl. I have Strada bags for my bike and Shift-Tech website clearly states that this exhaust does not work with Strada bags, I went into this purchase fully understanding I might need to modify parts. I was pleasantly surprised that the exhaust canister its self clears just fine. The only concern now Is I mat need to make a small heat shield for the very bottom of the bag, the exhaust gasses let out just missing the bottom of the bag. All in all I am very happy. This coupled with the Giuseppe Starace intake really make the bike respond smoother and more quickly. Next up, I need a programmer.

Thank you. Shift-Tech was having a sale the last couple days(i shared it everywhere). Marked down $75. It included all new hardware, carbon fiber canister, carbon fiber mount/brace and the mid pipe. So, everything needed to bolt on and go. I think it was about $525 for all + $10 shipping. ....
