Bought 2 pairs of handlebar mirror holder adapter from Ebay @ $5.99 each (7 8" Motorcycle Handlebar Mirror Bar Mount Holder Adapter Honda Suzuki Yamaha | eBay).

I find the windshield seems to flap a bit so I devised a way to hold it steady. Cut off 2 hollow aluminum 12mm tubing from IKEA furniture door handles and secured them to the handlebar mirror holders from Ebay. The tubings slip nicely into the hollow of the windshield holders and holds it steady. Sorry, didn't take any photos of the actual process but the end result is shown below

I find it hard to get the kickstand down as it's quite close to the mainstand. So, I took one of the Ebay handlebar holders, attached another length of the IKEA door handles and clamped it to the kickstand. Now, it's so much easier to get the kickstand down.:D

To mount the Garmin Montana GPS, I fabricated a bracket to hold the Garmin mount. Also attached a helmet lock to go with it. Again, I apologize for not taking photos of the process but the result is shown below.

Did you strengthen the windscreen? Those grey support beams coming out of the two top mounting bolts of windscreen look odd

No, the windscreen seems strong enough.

Although the windscreen is secured to the windscreen stay via 4 bolts, the stay itself is secured by 2 bolts to the main body of the headlight housing. I just provide 2 more points to anchor the windscreen.

Can you post some detail pics of your windscreen stabilizer? How do the door handles connect, etc.

Sorry, didn't take any detail pics.

The door handles connect to the Ebay holders via a tapped M6 bolt and the ends of the handles just slot into the top holes of the windshield stay. The handles push slightly against the windscreen to hold it steady. ;)

Did you find it too unstable? I ride 85+mph for extended periods and it definitely isn't coming off. It honestly looks like it's designed to flex a little. You might be transferring turbulence to your bars.

It is a clean job, though.

I worry that the flapping will weaken the 2 points that the stay is connected to. Perhaps it's just me, a worry-wart.
