Spark Arrestor

Ok, I've been looking everywhere and haven't found anyone who mentions the HS and spark arrestor. I'm wanting to explore some of the off-road trails but apparently need to install a spark arrestor for the OHV permit. But ever arrestor I see requires taking apart the exhaust, and from what it looks like, that would require drilling out some rivets, if that even gets me there. Any ideas before I start taking a drill to my beautiful exhaust?

The stock exhaust should qualify as a "spark arrestor", due to the catalytic converter. Can you link to your states requirements?

Where are you planning to take your bike? I grew up in Colorado and took my car on some pretty rough roads in order to get to good camping spots for mountain biking. I'd assume (knowing what that means) that anywhere a car can go a bike with a catalytic converter would be ok as well.
