Hi,
I have a question about "swap ECU". My hyperstrada got fault of ECU ("CAN LINE" again after I repaired my dashboard successfully), so I got an ECU from my friend (hyperstrada), then swap on my bike, but nothing happen, the bike don't recognize ECU !
Anyone give me a ắner, solution... about this ?

Thank you very much,

Sorry for my bad English!

i have a spare ECU for my 821 and swapping ECU is possible. It looks quite fine after ECUs get swapped, bike is starting and running normal.
also my dealer did nothing else than swapping ECU when he updated software on my spare ECU. bike started immediatly after swapping, each time.
so i suppose your bike has another problem also, if frineds ECU works in his bike.

If this is the case, does your ECU work in your friends bike?

Check your ground connections. Our 390 Duke would crank but not fire because of this. Also, have you had the Canbus filter TSB done?

Glad to hear, but my case didn't work, also my friend's bike working normally!

My ecu doesn't work in my friend's bike ( the dash show "CAN LINE") .

I checked ground connection, and all of wire, they are fine ! I haven't installed CAN filter yet !

I bet it has something to do with the immobilizer system on the bike. The Key, ECU and dash all need to be programmed to recognize each other. I would say your best bet would be to visit a dealer so you can use their special Ducati computers.

no, the ecu does not be programmed to be recognized, just switch and go

I forget one thing, my friend's ecu is Italy version, mine is Thailand version. Is this problem??
