Has anyone removed the large tank side panels and if so how the heck do you do it?
I've loosened every bloody screw and bolt I can see and still the damn things wont budge loose (and I dont want to force anything in case I break it, end up selling the house to afford a new panel and become homeless with a nice bike, the wife would be pissed let me tell you)

There is 1 screw under the seat, 3 on the back side that hold the black plastic to it by the forks and one in the rectangular opening. This one goes through a rubber grommet and a tube nut. You can feel the nut on the back side. Its thin and may spin when trying to removing the screw. Then you either slide the cover forward or backwards a little like 1/2". I just can't remember the direction. This is to disengage the tabs that lock into the black plastic cover on top of the tank. If you go online and look at the carbon fiber tank cover you will see a couple of rectangular slots along the edge. Hope that helps.
