Has anyone got a PDF copy of the topbox rack fitting instructions they could send me? I've got the bits but in fitting instructions.

Holy crap!! I installed it without the instructions 3 months ago and i always thought those two bars were extra parts so i never installed them lol. But i guess they are not too important unless you put a lot of weight on that top case. Did a 2500 mile trip with no problem

someone already broke the top rack without the bars. You don't need a lot of weight, just a few good bumps, the flex will snap it.
 
Brilliant. Thanks for that. I'll hopefully have a go at installing the hideous contraption at the weekend - off to the Ulster GP in a couple of weeks so Madame needs the room....in addition to the bags on her bike
