Touring Windscreen

Hi all,
Can you suggest a larger touring windscreen? I'm planning on a cross-country trip this October and want to make sure I'm ready. I'll also take any suggestions on upgrading the rear cases.
Thanks

I have the CalSci one. It's probably the biggest and while the turbulence on my helmet is a little better, I don't notice any additional relief on my shoulders than with the DP touring screen. The MRA screen looks far better than the CalSci (I think it's kinda ugly and tinted way too dark), but never read any reports on how well it works.

My take is DP touring screen is best balance between looks and protection.

Thanks for the information. I'll look at both screens and see if I can find some reviews, particularly on the MRA screen. Take it easy.

I'm 6'1" and I use the the OEM windscreen with an attached LAMINAR LIP <-aftermarket product. You can click on my profile pic and zoom in to see it. Best $100 I ever spent on this bike.

I went the opposite direction and got the smaller Ducati Performance carbon fiber windscreen. The standard one created too much turbulence. The short carbon fiber is great in general, but doesn't protect much when going 130kph on slab.

So more reason to get off the highway!

Just as a reference, I'm not sure LAMINAR is selling LIPs for the hyperstrada anymore, there's nothing on their page for Hypers Laminar Products for Ducati Hyperstrada

The response from Laminar I received today asking them if they stopped selling the lip for hyperstrada:

"This appears to be a programmer snafu, we still have the
D1165C and D1165S (clear and smoke) just call us 714-540-8006 if you
wish to get setup/order."

Thank you,
Andy

This is great to hear, thank you for going the extra mile and checking!

Hi Bullzeye81,
Thanks for the great tip and looking to see if the Laminar Lip is still available. After hearing from you and reading all the glowing reviews, I'm going to invest my $100 in the Lip.
Take care

My feeling exactly, and I did the same on the HS. The only screens I've got on my other bikes are ones I've designed and made myself to give some body protection but no turbulence for my head. Original screens are designed by people with no idea of air flow, though I appreciate they are trying to make something to fit all sizes of riders.

Call me a slave to fashion, but, those lips are just ugly on this bike. Reminds me of the old flip up sunglasses. This bikes design language just wasn't meant to have a giant touring screen over the beak. That's why the OEM is small and clear, and also why it looks sexier with the smaller Hyper cowls. Don't get me wrong, I run the touring screen and occasionally fit the giant CalSci (?) one when I get tired of the wind blast but, still love the look when I put the little shorty CF cowl on.

What are the 'smaller Hyper cowls'? Sounds like something I should investigate! I've already got CF Hyper rear panels instead of the luggage options on my HS.

It's the little 'fly screen' that looks like it belongs on a motard. I think they're modeled after a Ducati Performance screen that was offered. Sorry, don't have a picture available but I bought mine off a listing in classifieds about a 2 years ago if you want to search. I'm sure all the good carbon composite sites sell them. Look great but you get beat up above 60 mph

Ah, OK, I've got one of those already instead of the OEM clear screen, which was too noisy for me. I have no problem with the small CF one at any speed but I suppose wind pressure would become tiring on a long ride. I thought you were talking about cowls on the sides of the bike, hence my question.
