Upgrading the OEM horn

Has anyone done so? If so, what did you replace it with and was it worth it?

I do a lot of city riding and the horn is definitely a tool I make use of and, IMO, has helped me avoid a few sticky situations. So I want it to be as loud and noticeable as possible.

However I'd rather avoid overly complicated installs to achieve this, such as relocating the mounting position.

If anyone has any experiences/ideas I'd love to hear them!!

I'd like to upgrade to a better horn than the stock one that comes on the bike. Hopefully someone who's done it will share their experience.

I think I've used mine once in 9500 miles. I don't even know what sound it makes.

Yes i do changed my horn to brand Hella, look similar like original but sound louder, reason because still can hide back on same position. But when you send to duc dealer when they plug in the computer, it will show you unplug the horn before. But i just ask them remove it then is fine.

Bottom line is, does the Hella fit in the stock horn mounting area, and are any mods required? If so, what might those be? I'd really like to replace the stock horn, which sounds about the same as a Vespa horn. Toot toot!
