Weather proofing the front fuse box

Just out of interest I've had all the panels off my bike"¦..wanted to have a look and was also looking to route a usb cable from the under tank power socket to just below the control screen.

Must admit I was surprised at what fuses are in the front fuse box and what had to be removed to get to it. Who normally carries a 24mm open ended spanner?

But what was more disturbing is that the underside of the fuse panel is exposed to all the weather that travels in via the vent in the side panel. This includes any rain etc. I know that the box looks sealed etc but has anyone else any concerns or had any issues? I was thinking of maybe covering the underside where all the wiring enters the box just for peace of mind.

Thoughts?

Haven't had water issues, but I'll check it out. I pulled those lower fasteners because of that absurd 24mm nut. No problems. Also check your spare fuses, mine had a wrong rating - I bought a set of spares.

You can remove that fuse box without taking the plastics off. You lift up, then pull aft. I blew a lot of fuses when first running my aux driving lamps and had to get at this often.

Will have to give this a go :) Thanks.
