Weird Seat Defect - anyone else experience this?

Hi All:

Just took bike in for first service ($$$$ - ouch)

After the service, and a ride home, I noticed a tear in the seat in an odd location. The tear is at the most rear of the seat, where the fabric folds over the bottom edge. I just submitted a warranty claim through dealer - awaiting to hear response...

Anyone else experience this defect before? If so - what was Ducati's warranty response?

Bike is just over 1000km - I have actually never removed the seat, other than when it was first delivered.

No tail bag - only used the panniers once on this bike so far.

It looks like it's ripping at a stress point - when a rider/passenger is seated - the fabric pulls tight at that particular point

Happy to report local dealer (NOT the one that did my first service) is replacing seat under warranty.
