What function is this Hypermotard 821 wiring connector?

Hi. I have a Hypermotard 821 (2013).

While organizing the wiring under the sheet, I found the connector shown in the picture.

But even if I look in the manual, the manual doesn't explain what this connector is.

Can someone please explain what this connector has?

Only a guess, but it might be access for ECU reader, or perhaps a diode in a circuit. Not likely to be battery-charging connection being hidden away. Someone will know!

This is from the maintenance manual for a 2016.

CHECKS
Check control unit correct operation with the DDS 2 diagnosis instrument connected to control unit diagnostic
socket (A),
which is positioned inside electrical components compartment; to reach it, remove the seat.
