Is it from the headlamp bulb, can't think of anything else?

Yeah thanks but I’d doesn’t seem to be! I’ve had all dashboard area and headlamp our, but also fuel tank, all panel etc. Annoying.

What about near the steering for holding the cables back?

That looks an awful lot like the spring clips (x2) that hold the bulb in the housing.
