so there have been a few posts about alternative windscreens, i am looking for an option for city riding, I know I can get the stock motard cover and go without, I also see some have purchased aftermarket screens and cut them down, I like the way they look but I am just trying to find something that I can purchase and install instead of busting out the tools. what options do I have? links or picks would be great

Has anyone tried to touring windscreen on their bike?

I'd love to find out if it adds more protection up top.

I have ordered the Fabbri GEN-X from PJ's Parts this week. I will post up a pic ( as I seem to be only able to upload 1 per post on the iPad) when I get it fitted and have been for a bit of a ride. Cheers.

Yes, I have the Ducati Touring screen and it works well for me. If you are much taller, it may be different. I'm 5' 8" and I don't have buffeting. I also liked being able to have the smoked version instead of the original clear one.

I just replaced it with the hypermotard oem cover... Works for me. Plus it's only a 20 USD conversion compared to over 200 for the carbon fiber screen.

how was it with the original windscreen? I'm 5'9.

Did you guys buy the official Ducati screen or a less expensive one from the web?

Just put this on late this afternoon. Might have to take the long way to work tomorrow.

I have the Ducati touring screen as well. It's not much bigger than standard, see image of the screens overlaid. It's a lot better looking than hte standard screen but I've not really felt a big differnece on the road. I am 5'7"

I've been checking this out: MRA Double-Bubble RacingScreen Windshield for Ducati Hyperstrada '13-'15 - TwistedThrottle.com

A little lower, different airflow. I've been happy with the stock but there's a lot of wind noise around the helmet. I'm thinking this might change that. Anyone tried it yet?

Makes it look like the Queen from Aliens. But I'm not partial to any of the shorty screens. I feel the huge beak and wide bars make it look odd.

I have the touring screen and like it over stock. Just wish they would have made it wider. My shoulders take a beating on long rides.
