windscreen

Makes it look like the Queen from Aliens. But I'm not partial to any of the shorty screens. I feel the huge beak and wide bars make it look odd.

I have the touring screen and like it over stock. Just wish they would have made it wider. My shoulders take a beating on long rides.

I thought she was a sexy vixen. But - it's only about an inch or 2 shorter and I'm thinking the air is hitting the bottom of my helmet - might make the difference. If I buy it - I'll post the results.

Or if anybody would like to get it (I mean Hypermotard fairing cover) - I have it for 20 USD + shipping. I had it for about two weeks and decided to go back to the original windscreen. So, the item is like new in original box.

I bought the Puig Strada screen. But unfortunately it requires you to replace the top 2 of 4 headset bolt holding the handle bar in place to install an additional bracket to increase support for the larger shield. The instructions were pretty spotty, no mention of how to tighten the bolts. If you have a look at the Ducati shop manual, you will noticed that those 4 bolts are indeed greased torque bolts to be tighten at star + 1 pattern with 25N. Absolutely no mention of this in the Puig instructions... When I tried to put the screen on and torque to 25N, the brace started to bend, powercoat started coming off, eventually the whole thing warped. Revzilla help me contact Puig USA, they seem to have no idea what we were talking about, and didn't realize there's such a thing as torque specs. Anyway, long story short, we finally got hold of head office in Barcelona, they send me a new bracket, bolts and some additional "washers". Haven't put it on yet, but will report back if it works.
