    New Front Fork Cartridge Options

I'm pretty happy with the revalving in the front done by Race Tech and the stock rear shock, except for one thing. That's the "freeway hop" I get at anything over 60-ish when I'm on the slab. If I had to ride it on those surfaces a lot I would go after that next, but most of my riding is on...

    Fork upgrade for Hyperstrada

You weigh less than me and my wife, and the preload adjuster on the rear takes care of the combined weight just fine. The Strada has a remote adjuster, but you won't need that. Some proper rubber and you would be in biz. Be aware the seat on the SP is a lot higher (3 inches if I remember...

    The Suspension Thread!!! BOOING

The specs for the 2013 (not "Low") Hyperstrada and Hypermotard seat heights indicate that there is approximately 20mm difference. I have both seats, and the Motard one is thicker and puts me further forward, which could easily account for the difference. My "Chicken Strips" are always about...

Four years stock. Time to upgrade. Thoughts?

I would go after the suspension first. Also the clutch, once the valtermotousa eBay seller gets some more of Kuksul's kits. After that I would get some proper street rubber on there... I like my Q3s. They work just as well offroad as the Scorpions did.

Bad Starter is actually a bad Shorai

I have Shorais in three out of five bikes and also our '13 MX-5 Miata. I rotate a small charger among them, hung from the garage door motor, just for peace of mind. And I have a Ballistic 4 cell in the Velo MAC to fit in its tiny battery case. If Shorai made one small enough I would use that...

    For Sale Hyper Lights V1

I feel the same way about my Strada. Would miss many of the farkles I've added, and right now there's not much out there that I think would replace it. And then there's the rather poor resale value...although my buddy's Streetfighter 848 is worse.

Booked a tour from Kuala Lumpur to Redang Island

Dang, that makes me want to renew my passport!

    For Sale Hyper Lights V1

Love my set of these. You planning to sell your Hyper, Kuksul?

    New to Forum

I'm 6' and a bit, wear a 34" inseam, and weigh 175 in full leathers + gear. Compared to my '08 Road Glide (now gone), it's not as easy on the knees. But compared to my '05 SV650 it's more than halfway there. I don't think you'll feel cramped on the 851. I agree about the standard vs. Strada...

Ducati Hypermotard 821 clutch fix - the definitive guide

Is there a chance that your vendor could continue to import these kits? I sure love mine, and I'm confident that more of them would sell.

What'd you do to your Hyperstrada today?

Me too, have used them on everything for decades. But not on the Strada, for some strange reason. Could be the wimpy throttle return spring, a thinner grip seems to offer better control. Also, the 714s soak up some vibration - a concern on my thumpers but not on the Ducati. Got out on the...

Stickers? I don't need no stinkin' stickers.

Cali doesn't require inspections, but if I were to sell my Hyper out of state the lack of a FMVSS certification sticker (the one with GVWR etc.) could be a problem. The other three, probably not. Didn't matter to me, mine are gone too.

Any way to raise up front fork - suspension?

Racetech told me that the forks were made by Kayaba. The part numbers for the regular Strada vs. the "Low" model are different, so raising the bike substantially will require the regular forks. However, the clamps look sturdy enough to me to allow them to drop the outers maybe a centimeter...

    What Shield Is This? HELP!

I like my MRA, it blocks more wind and is adjustable for height. The "Touring" shield came stock on my Strada; it scratched very easily. But yes, it's harder to tuck in. That's better with the standard seat, has less of a "step" to the back. Either way, I have to slide back. Right now the...

    Seat height

Don't think so....there's a certain GP racer from Urbino who is almost 6' tall... you might have heard of him, he wears #46.:D My SV650 has a lot less legroom than the Strada, by a couple of inches. I made some rearset plates to move them down and back a bit but it's still tight. My inseam...
