    Hyper for off-road?!?

I live in the Phoenix area, and do enjoy some off-road riding but not on this bike. Welcome to the area, although they are not quite right in our backyard, there are very good roads that can be done on day rides.

    9k service question

You should definitely take it in for the recall. Electronics have been know to fry the dash without the filter put in. For that alone, I'd take it to the dealer and pay the fee to have it all done there, and inspected for the first check. This is coming from someone that prefers doing the work...

    Front suspension question

There seem to be 2 inquiries in your post: - A suspension upgrade is, I think by unanimous decision, very much worth it for this bike. However, to ease your concern about stiffer springs, you might want to go for fully-adjustable cartridges. - It's hard to say if the front suspension is too...

    Mini carbon windscreen?

If you're going smaller, go all the way small.

    Ride mode clarification....

I don't believe so. The customizations that I know are possible are traction control and anti-lock brake sensitivity, not power output.

    Removing gas tank

True. We're making it sound harder than it really is, but that's just because we're venting about lessons learned.

    Removing gas tank

It took me about 3 hours before I changed tactics... ... I think I even removed the panel where the seat lock is, because I couldn't go past it freely.

    Removing gas tank

This is the advice I was going to give. I spent hours trying to get the back of the tank to pivot out of place enough to lift it (after disconnecting everything) to no avail. Then I removed the rubber stays onto which the tank pivots, and lifted it straight up. I regretted not thinking about...

    Representing in Costa Rica!

It's the fuel system. Shortly after I bought mine, I went on a long road trip, in one of the stops, I had the bike in the room sleeping next to me so it wouldn't stay outside, and the sound puzzled me for a few days.

    brake light/mode sensor

I am not sure what could be causing your problem. I went through something like this and I ended up solving it... but I don't really know why. In any case, if not for solving purposes, here's my story at least for entertainment: I was replacing the rear brake lever because I somehow bent the...

    2013 Hyper rear hub orientation

I just went out and measured mine. Distance between the tire and the cover is 0.75" Mine tightens if you rotate clockwise. I don't think the hub has ever been replaced, but I'm not positive since I bought it used. [edit] I finally was able to add the picture

    Black bodywork turning milky?

PSA: There's currently a lightning deal on Amazon for the CarGuys plastic restorer. I just got one to give it a try.

    2013 Hyper rear hub orientation

See two comments above from kuksul and mentalist. I can confirm that rotating the hub clockwise (opposite to how the tire turns when moving) tightens the chain.

    Bent brake pedal

I'll second the two comments above, I too had to put a helicoil in it.
