The clutch arm is normal to have a tiny bit of vertical play, but certainly not 1/2". I think something is not connected properly, and would not start the engine until you have that sorted. I don't have my hyper any more to compare to but I can try to provide some input. Just think, if it takes...

I thought a Hyperstrada shock would work for a project bike I am working on. It has an old school 80's unit with no reservoir. A nice hydraulic preload 'strada shock would be nice, but I would need about 290-295mm length. My SP had a longer shock, I recall around 300mm. So I'm still searching.

Hoping someone can take a quick few measurements for me. I'm interested in the shock length (eye to eye), overall diameter, mounting bolt diameters, and eyelet widths on a stock Hyperstrada or Hypermotard shock. Please let me know your model/version and year. Thank you!

They denied my repair while still under warranty due to the Rapidbike... Also, goodwill repairs usually cover part cost but still charge you labor. You are better off doing it yourself.

Good call, my dealer checked the starter clutch when my starter motor went out. Apparently they were having issues with some of them. Can you feel puffs of exhaust coming out? Is the motor turning over?

To me, the electrical systems sounds fine. It sounds like a fuel or spark issue where it just won't catch and start running despite turning over freely.

Can you hear the fuel pump priming?

I too loved the 14 tooth sprocket. Too bad my electronics freaked out with it. Still never figured it out, but the 15 wasn't terrible to begin with so I wasn't too upset.

Yup I had the SP and even with a 34" or so inseam it felt tall.

I never ran into clearance issues on my Hyper SP and ran it to the edge of the tire. Though I have heard of guys on the track running into issues. You can help reduce lean angle by hanging off the bike more too.
