Hello to all;

I will be bringing home a lightly-used 2014 Hyperstrada later next week and I am really looking forward to it.

My only concern is that my previous two ducs have been Ohlins-equipped and I think I will be very quickly lusting over suspension upgrades. Ah! Such is our curse I suppose.

I am happy to have fellow hypsters with whom I can trudge the happy road of my odyssey and look forward to getting more acquainted.

I thought the same thing when I first got my 14 Hyper, on the suspension that is. I found that even though it is not full race quality that if you just ride it hard it is fine. :D

Too bad you got the slower Red one. ;)

Congrats, nice looking bike.

Thanks lomax! I'm sure there is lots of fun to be had with it in its current state. I'll be sure to report in when I get some clicks on it.

One thing to try. Unlike other Ducati's get as far forward on the seat as you can and put that head out over the mirrors when you push it down in a turn. It will start to come alive around 5K RPM. Ride Fast, Take Chances. :D

Actually that riding position is what drew me to the platform. Wide, high, flickable, fast and forward.

Maybe it is a weight, I'm 200 lbs, but I hated the forks as they came. I'd consider an upgrade. Perhaps I got carried away with mine (I do like it) but those Andreinnis [sp?] look worth the investment - I thought the rear shock felt good for stock and being a progressive (I prefer linear)

Oh...I'm sure our red bikes are slower than the white bikes (obviously?) but our red bike look faster sitting still... '-)

Red bikes always look faster. And I'm good with that!
