battery charger

Hi
Away to put bike offroad for winter.
Was going to connect to my oxford oximiser charger, but manual says that you should only use the ducati one as specified in manual.
Anybody bought one of the ducati chargers yet, or has anybody just used their own to trickle charge the battery over winter.

Ducati electricity isn't any different than the regular kind. My dealer gave me a Battery Tender model with my bike.

Yup...been using a Battery Tender Jr. all along.

I have 5 bikes wired up with common plugs to connect to my Optimate Tester/Charger, including the Hyperstrada and the Monster. 4 of the 5 are regularly maintained with the Optimate, but I haven't had the Hyper off the road long enough to need to connect it.
The dealer supplied new "Battery Fighter Jr" chargers (not a Ducati Performance accessory) with both the Monster and the Hyper and I have never used them.
