i am planning a run from seattle to sf. one leg will be bend to redding in a longish day. i was thinking 97 to klamath to 39/139 to canby and then 299 to redding. worth doing? any issues with gas range.

if not i may remove redding from my trip and take a shorter day of bend to ashland.

thoughts from folks familiar with or and norcal

cheers

You're not getting much in the way of replies here, are you? That's sparsely populated country up there, and I'm sure those who know it well would love to keep it that way! I'll bet if you post on a BMW forum you'll get the answers you're looking for.

I'm actually doing this right now. I came down from Vancouver to redding and now heading back up home. If you're in Redding, check out hwy 36 for sure! Tighter twisties and much quieter than 299. 299 has construction also by the way so expect delays. If you're at bend, make sure to check out Old MacKenzie hwy. Sweet little road with a beautiful biew at the top.

Have fun.

Just noticed you're post date. Assume you've finished you're trip. Hope it was good.
