Best engine oil for Hyperstrada

Any ideas what the best engine oil to use for the Hyper will be? Brands, full synthetic, etc.
I wouldn't mind looking into this before the bike arrives so I can change engine oil early on in the break in period.

The user R6chase is a machine lubrication technician so he could give you very good advise.
What ive used for my cars and my previous bike is fully synthetic amsoil oil which I think is the best and has never let me down. You have to keep in mind that since the hyper uses the same oil for the engine, tranny and clutch you cannot use oils that contain friction modifiers or your clutch will start slipping.

I'm a millwright apprentice with courses on machine lube. So noone mistakes me as a guru... But always use manufactures oil for you're first few oil changes I believe it's 5000KMs (3000mi) or so it's safe to switch too full synthetic.

I always say just buy a decent quality oil that meets the manufacturers spec.

Did my first oil change after around 120kms on the clock last night. Change the oil early!!! Was surprised how much unwanted material collects in the oil in the first 100kms.

Also I did the oil filter up hand tight but after testing a few drops of oils appeared. Rang a local Ducati service centre who told me the oil filter needs a bit more tension than average. Tonight will give it a bit more torque and see what happens.
