Same here, but I was stuck in traffic the other day and almost came to appreciate the odd ECU linkage between clutch & throttle; I was able to creep along from a dead stop with my right hand completely off the throttle.

More importantly, I think my engine has finally loosened up a bit. Pinning the throttle in 2nd gear today, the front wheel spontaneously began to loft at around 45 mph (70 km/h), with all rider aids disabled.

With the race exhaust and open airbox you can loft the tire easily without popping the clutch as follows:

>15mph in first gear
>40mph in second
>roughly 50-60mph with maybe a little clutch pop.

Just turned over the 2,000 mile mark on the engine.

Have you tried turning off the rev-matching feature on the ecu through the dash. This is what causes the erratic clutch throttle I believe. I use it, because it is nice for riding the bike around with one hand.
I get to go food for my wife and I all of the time on the moto and on this bike it is great. Just alternate which hand you are holding the food in on the way home.
Clutch out of the parking lot with your left hand and then ride home with the right hand on the throttle and work that quick shifter all the way back.

I’m on the handraulic rev-matching feature as my quick shifter is still on the slow boat from Bologna. Hoping it has arrived by the time I get back home, in a few weeks.

Even without the quickshift the bike still has a rev-matching option on the dash. It’s for standard rev matching with manual clutch shifting to prevent wheel hop.
It will autoblip the throttle at slow speeds to get you to around 15 mph without throttle from a slow roll.

I can’t seem to find anything on that rev matching/low speed blip feature you’re referring to in the manual, but will happily turn that off if I can find it. Thanks.

Well bois n girls I’m 300 miles in and have found several small lack of detail issues with my hyper 698 mono. I would like to find out if others are having the same problems !
  • gear shifter binding… discovered this immediately during my test ride. A washer was installed as a temp fix… not great right out of the gate
  • gas tank pressurizing. Vent hose was left with a plug in it, I removed myself and checked with dealer before removing. Admitted it was missed during assembly
  • today I developed a LOT of play in the bars forward/backward and side to side. I mean like 1/2 to 3/4 inch total of play. They think the wrong bolt/bushing assembly was installed. Massive inconvenience as I can’t comfortably ride my brand new bike.IMG_2928.jpeg

The vent hose pressuring is a white plug on the lower part ?

How more obvious a prep item could that be? It even has a nice finger tag. Do these technicians ever get any training?

I don't have that plug, but my tank still pressurizes on a hot day. I thought the plug was the crimped rubber thingy, just beside the white plug.
