Can we get pictures of all the different seat options in one thread?

Trying to figure out what all of the seat options are and what's actually on my bike so I don't inadvertently order the same one. Is the Journey seat that is an option for the Hypermotard the stock seat on the Hyperstrada? And the low seat is even lower? Then there's the race seat which is regular height but flat all the way back (no pillion hump)?

List your bike's part number or do a search; it's the number on the QR code (white sticker). I have about 3 of those seats, but there may be as many as 5 options. Also, if you can let us know what it is you are looking for (seat function) maybe you'll get some decent responses.

Here are the one's I have; pay attention to the sequence of the photos, first pic is of the seat, second pic is a number on the plastic underside, and third is the QR cord. That QR code seems to have the correct part number on it. There were some part updates by Ducati, just to make it more confusing for ya:
Partno.: 59521572A, 96880061A
Replaced by: 96880062A (according to this site: https://www.kfm-motorraeder.de/cms/en/genuine-spare-parts/ducati-spare-parts?itemid=96880062A

Note that although IMG_2063 and IMG_2066 have the same plastic stamped part number, they are very different, the former being a bit wider when you sit on the bike.

The racing seat 96880082A is the easier one to id, perhaps due to being a PITA.

Thanks netaron. I don’t have a specific seat in mind because I haven’t had a chance to try this thing out yet to see if there’s anything I’d improve on. But I’m wondering if I already have the lowest option since I understood that all 2015 Hyperstradas came in the “low” model. I also thought it would be good to consolidate the info in one place since I haven’t found it anywhere else. Most other posts I’ve seen only compare one to another but not all. Also when shopping used, you sometimes have to go by pictures and not part numbers.

Your current seat will have a part number. Cross reference it against the ones listed here and search online. No guarantee which seat your bike came with.

Stock 2013 hypermotard seat and DP race seat. The race seat sits taller, is more firm but is flatter making it more comfortable on long distances for me. You can slide back to the wide flat part to easy your butt on long hauls

I believe the part numbers molded into the plastic seat pans are just for the seat pans themselves, and a single seat pan could be shared amongst different seat assemblies. So definitely best to go with info on the sticker, unless it has fallen off...

So if I were to describe the distinguishing features of each:

Stock Hypermotard: no stitching
DP Race: Ducati Corse logo embossed at the front
???: three lines across front and back, no stitching
???: three lines across front and back, double row of red stitching
??? (what's on mine, is this the stock Hyperstrada seat?): single row of red stitching, DP logo between rider and pillion areas

Are there any others? Which one is the "low" seat, and is mine also known as the Journey?

Racing seat redone by Renazco Racing. Much more comfortable for all day riding. The stock seat didn't let me move around and I was miserable after a couple of hours. As stated the Racing seat is higher and the Renazco probably adds another 3/8-1/2 and inch.

you're really going to have to ride a bit to understand what you have and what you want. Journey seat will bring you lower than stock, while racing seat will bring you higher.

I didn't like the OEM seat because it forced me to be closer to the handlebars than was comfortable for me. Also, my back protector has a tailbone piece, so it extends down further, which interfered with the indentation on the stock seat.

I had to go with the flatter racing seat for my situation, even though it brought me up higher on the bike and I can't really flatfoot with the racing seat.

I’m sure any of these seats will feel like I’m on a Goldwing compared to the torture racks I’m used to. I just like to know what my options are in advance. Besides, it would benefit others to have the options explained all in one place.

If anything, a lower seat would be nice but I still don’t know if mine already has it. I thought all 2015 Hyperstradas came in low but is that just because of the shorter suspension, or was the shortest seat included?

OK, I took a closer look at my seat when I took the bike out of storage yesterday. It's little different than I thought. It says "Hyperstrada" on it instead of "Performance" and the DP logo.

I can't edit my older post, so here is the updated list of the different seats and their descriptions based on what I found from various vendors when I looked them up:

I've decided I want a lower seat, but the descriptions for the Low and Journey seats both say they are lower than the stock seat (I assume Hypermotard) by 20mm. And since the Journey looks identical to my stock Hyperstrada seat, can I conclude that I have the lowest available seat already?

The seat with three lines across and no red stitching is the stock 821 Hypermotard SP seat.

The Journey seat sits lower than the stock hyperstrada seat. Personally I found the journey seat to be a bit like a "˜pan' and not have much room to move around making it a bit more uncomfortable in the long run. It locks you in a bit more than the stock hyperstrada seat. I currently ride with the stock hyperstrada seat and prefer it over the journey seat.

Would you know how the "Low" seat (96880072A) compares? I have an opportunity to get one of those (based on the picture). The seller is telling me the Journey seat is the newer version of the Low seat.
