Confirmed: No changes made to the 2015 Hyperstrada

While I was at the International Motor Show this past weekend, I spoke with a Ducati North America rep who confirmed there have been zero changes with the Hyperstrada since it was first introduced.

I pressed and asked if there are any expected changes, to include a model refresh within the next year or two, and he said there's nothing he knows of (it was a solid, believable, fairly standard answer).

He did say Ducati has full intentions on continuing the Hyperstrada model and the future was all good for the bike.
 
Thanks for the info. Despite some issues we have, the bikes seem to be designed pretty well for the most part. Good to know they'll continue the model, which means continued support and more parts available for the rest of us.

Isn't the height adjustment just in the rear end adjustment. I can't see them making a change like this mid model.....
 
Bah Humbug!

You believe everything you see on the web? Makes no sense at all. Perhaps their warehouse is full of "regular" '13s and '14s? Or they decided that the Strada needs to be low version only? I would not have bought mine if it dragged hard parts in the corners like some pathetic Harley Softail...:(
 
Benefit of the doubt...Maybe they fixed the soft springs and improved the damping? I don't really need 150 mm of travel, just want the ride height for cornering. This is not really an ADV bike. Regular sportbikes do fine with less.

My XR650L was really tall. It made a great motard when I had it lowered 2" F&R. Got a peg down once - on the track. Let's hear from an owner of a '15, when one arrives.

I have an LS model and it has an obstacle in that any suspension upgrades that are on the market are for the standard model. Whilst losing some suspension travel may not suit everybody in the long term it does mean one set of dimensions to deal with.
 
I don't see why a cartridge kit could not be shortened with spacers just like my XR-L was. It does not require a complete redesign. The compressed length should not change, only the extended one. The more I think about it, the better it sounds; Wifey has bad knees so she complains about the high step up to the passenger peg.

Perhaps Ducati is admitting that this is not a dirt bike.
