Dashboard problem again !!

Hi guys, I online again for my dashboard, I replaced the new dashboard 2 weeks ago ! Now it got again, I can't know what happening with my bike ??!! Any one knows the issue??

Ps:after problem, The dashboard shows "Hypermotard", not Hyperstrada??

No, i didn't, the mechanic of garage local replaced it, he said just replaced only dashboard, I trust him and it worked smoothly for 2 weeks! And now he said return his garage for checking ! Does anyone open the dashboard and fix it yourself?? Etc replace the IC ... ??

You must also replace the ignition coils. That is supposedly the root issue causing dashboard failure. Also, check with Ducati re: a recall for 2013 models. Someone here mentioned a change to the wiring to help with this issue.

You can try to disassemble the dash unit, you would be the first person to do so. If you do, please post up pictures. I would be very interested to see. I have been asking for a broken one to analyze, but they are never available.

What is the part number of the new dash unit?
 
Now I have 2 dashboards, so I want to try on another, but I do not know how to disassemble the dash, I don't see any bolt to open. Anyone knows how to do it ???

Show some pics. I figured there would be some screws from the back side.
 
i had a "can" wire replaced to the dashboard last month under a ducati recall on my very early 2013 hyperstrada.
My dealer seemed to think it was something to do with the dashboard problem.
i would think that any dealer would be able to tell you if the recall applies to your bike by the chassis number.
 
That is the latest dash unit... And the "old" dash is the same one I have. Still not the oldest that the first models came with though!

Try calling the dealer with your VIN to see if it comes up on the recall. I don't see any screws... not sure how it comes apart. Maybe you have to cut the old one to find out.

I'd bet money mine has a 40610951E. If we can get a reliable way to open them up without damage, I'm willing to participate in the diagnosis.
 
Hi have done my service a month ago at the dealer and he told me about an outstanding recall about a module/device that connect to the dashboard (or somewhere else...) to avoid problem or interference to the dashboard.

I didn't had time to have it done at that time, as it take 2 weeks to order and I needed the HS to go back home. They are suppose to order it in spring time when I will be ready. Now the bike is sitting for winter time.

Could it be a solution for that? Mine is a HS 2014.

Interesting, if yours is a 2014. I should call my dealer and see if mine is also on there.

More info would be nice
 
The mechanic still not has a answer about problem of dash. I don't want to pay for the new one until I have not found the problem, because It could get problem again ! This is my first own Ducati motorcycle, I'm very disappointed about Ducati, I bought used Hyperstrada on Octorber/2016, It got me 1000$ and now maybe 1000$ more ! People said Italia bikes not better than Japan bikes (specially about electrical), isn't it ?
 
Hi guys, I just try to open the dash, and I did it, very difficult, I will sent my dash to electric engineer to find out and hope fix it ! I wish I will get lucky !

Hi I have same problem. Mine also does once key in start position radiator fun go on even bike is cold. I have 2015 Hyperstrada. What year is yours ?
 
There's recall for this issue. An electrical filter gets installed near the cluster.

Did you have it done? Do you know what model years are affected, what the filter looks like, etc.

Still need to call my dealer to see if mine's affected.
 
It looks like a small black plastic sugar cube with a couple of wires. I just saw the service bulletin, haven't had it installed yet.
