Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Owner Roll Call

Wonder if parts availability is easier in Europe than in N. America? I've had the OEM quickshifter & belly pan on order for a long time now.
Not sure, haven't ordered anything substantial yet. My bike was missing passenger footpegs when I got it and upon a request it arrived in a week.. When I check the availability of the oem belly pan in one Italian website it says 7 days, but I don't know if that is true.

Does anyone here have both a 698 mono and an 821/959 Hyperstrada/Motard? It would be interesting to have some comparative comments! Obviously, the twins have more power but also more weight. Otherwise, they are very similar in style.

I ordered a 698 Mono back in February before Aussie dealers were even able to place orders with the Ducati mothership. They were supposed to call and check beforehand, but didn't. So I'm getting the standard red one with the quickshifter and belly pan. Not been given a date yet but the dealership said they think it'll be sometime end of May or June 🤷‍♂️

Already looking at mods to do, number one being tidying up the arse end.

Got a few hundred off MSRP and 15% off accessories plus free installation on accessories including pipe, mapping and filter, if it ever shown up.

BTW for those who are looking for one and can't find any in stock (in the US), Munroe Motors in San Francisco has a RVE in stock. They are a great bunch of people to deal with.

If distance is an issue, I volunteer to ride it to wherever you are within the US :D

I'd take you up on that, if only there was a bridge to Australia! 😂

Still no signs of when the 698 will actually arrive in Australia. Has anyone else ordered one in Oz and have you heard any more from your dealer? I was told June and that I'd hear a month out but so far, nothing. I'm pretty bored of just waiting watching other people's youtube videos about it, and starting to think about what else I could spend the money on instead...

I’ve owned two already, the standard and the RVE. My son wrecked and totaled my red one after three days and 60 miles of ownership, so after a big check from Progressive, I bought the RVE. I am loving the bike, fun, playful, and fast enough for what i5 is.

Greets from South UK. 698 (ex-demo 2k miles) paid for, awaiting delivery next week. When I first saw it, it was parked in the showroom next to a brand-new 950 SP. At first, I couldn't take my eyes off the SP, then after sitting on it (the seat was hard!), comparing the 2 bikes, and pondering some more, the 698 won me over. For what I want, short bursts of fun, it's ideal. I have a couple of questions, which I'll ask over on the discussion page. Glad to see I'm not the only old man with one!

Welcome, badgb21! It seems Ducati doesn't quite understand the market demographic that this bike appeals to. :)

I have fond memories of blasting through the pleasant back roads of southeast England at 80+ mph. Helston, Weymouth, Salisbury, Porton Down, Stonehenge, and Swindon. :)

badgb: I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions of the mono! It's only pie-in-the-sky but I'm still hoping Ducati puts that motor in another platform. Fun can mean different things for different folks!
