ECU updates lowered top speed?!

Hi there,

I own my Strada since the beginning of August and made a little bit more than 8k kms now. During this time I had like 5 visits to my dealer to get heated grips and have little warranty stuff done. By now I got up to 3 software updates and everytime I noticed some improvement in low rpm scenarios like smoother and easier throttling which is welcomed. With the last update which is about 1 month old I miss the rough uprevving from 3000-4500 rpm and the engine feels a bit 'softer'. No big deal until here... But I'm kinda of a suspicious guy and try and test any way to revalidate my assumptions and convictions.
In late summer I checked the Stradas top speed many times of course. The fastest I could reach was around 230km/h and it didnt take too long to get there when using the 5th gear up to the red end before swithing to the 6th. Today I tried it with the new software again and somehow I could barely reach 210 km/h. I'm a bit disappointed tbh.
Does anyone of you have checked this too and can confirm that the top speed lowered with the latest update? What other factors apart from strong directional winds and my leaning behind the wind shield do influence the top speed?

Thanks and cheers

Martin

No sorries, on my way through Amsterdam to the ferries lasr summer many drivers rode more than what they are allowed. So don't tell me you never tried... ;-)

I'm not so concerned about top speed but, I got the only software update for southern USA and while it felt much smoother, I honestly thought it felt a little slower even with High power and DTC 1.

Back to back quarter mile tests would be the only proof.
