Engine stalled while downshifting - Possible charcoal canister issue?

Hey All,

So I have 990 miles on the Strada right now. It happened once around 700 miles and again about 970 miles. From what I can remember, I was just cruising around at around 60mph, came to a light so I grabbed some brake and pulled in the clutch and the engine immediately died.

Pretty scary the first time it happened because there were cars behind me. I thought it was something I might have done wrong. But it happened again just 20 miles ago. I still have my charcoal canister mounted, could this be causing the issue or have others reported this? There is no CEL so I'm not sure bringing it to the dealership will help any.

Thanks!
Hung

Can't say about the canister, but lose it if you don't legally need it.

I had stalls like you describe early in my bikes life. 1st software update cured it. Have your dealer verify the software has been updated.

The canister is a pain in the butt. While the one on my Hyper one went "missing" before anything negative happened, the Panigale stalled randomly prior to its removal...flawless since.

Hmm, in this case I guess I should just remove it. Shouldn't hurt anything and it would clean it up a little.
