Just wondering if anyone has tried the Fabbri shield: ($87)

I prefer the look of the Ducati Carbon sheild: (~$240)

but prefer the price of the Fabbri. Wondered if I could cut the Fabbri to a similar shape as the Ducati one? In fact I know I could, just wondered if anyone has done it?

The Fabbri shield is so ugly. The carbon one is super sexy. I was upset that it costs so much, but then I learned that the similar fly screen for the triumph street triple R, which is plastic, costs $300!

I have the Fabbri Windshield installed.
The original was little to high for me and i noticed some turbulences around my helmet.
With the Fabbri i'm really satisfied and - in my opinion - it looks not so bad ...

I personally think the windshield looks really nice.

But i would carbonize it.

I have someone in Germany that carbonizes things, like car interiors or exterieurs.

The picture below is from the interieurs of a Megane 3.

If someone has interest i could see if i get an email from him or more pics.

The 3 pieces in the picture are @ about 50€ without returning postage bill.

I have the Fabbri Screen

I purchased the screen very cheaply and it does a good job. One added benefit is that it shades the instruments making them easier to read on sunny days. I am about 6'2" and the stock screen was too high making a bunch of turbulence. Shorter the screen the better for me. I have a short screen on my Multistrada too. Guess I am too cheap to buy the Carbon screen!

Theres some thing called "Wassertransferdruck" in german. In english it would be Watertransferprint.

With this you can make everything look carbonized at home.

That doesn't look as bad there.

In their ad it looks totally flat and doesn't match.

I just bit the bullet and bought the Ducati carbon screen. On Amazon there's another screen that might be made by the OEM maker, but with no DUCATI label on it, and it's $197 if I wanna wait 3 weeks for it. Screw it. I used all my Amazon credit card reward points up and now the Ducati screen is costing me $80. Cant wait to get rid of the noisy air around my head. Driving me mad.

Do you think it could be easily cut to reshape it? Is the plastic black or black "painted"?

Did you try taking the screen off completely? Amazing how clean the air is. The mini screen might be perfect.

I bought the larger screen to try to alleviate the wind, but am too tall for it.

Link to the knockoff one?

I did take the screen off completely and found the air quieter. Looking forward to good results with the small carbon screen.

Here's the link to the german made screen that appears to be the same thing but with no ducati label on it: CLICK HERE

Screen is black plastic

I think you could cut it pretty easily. It appears to be black plastic throughout.

Aha, I looked at the Amazon link and its $197 with free shipping. I used a $30 gift card so $167 shipped to my door from Italy.
Lets see how it turns out

See? Looks the same, but without the logo. Curious to see how long it takes to get to you and how it looks when you get it.

I didn't want to wait weeks. My Ducati version ought to be delivered tuesday. I'm all about the instant gratification. Could saved money but with the points I used it doesn't hurt as much. Lets see what the $167 gets you. :)

It says will ship in 2-3 weeks but defaulted to expedited shipping in 1-3 days. Who the hell knows when it will get here
No rush though, will post pics when it arrives after I add a $3 Ducati sticker to complete the look ;)

160 bugs for such little, crappy part? Americans are crazy, dude ...haha :D
Buy the fabbri for a lot less and cut it down to original size

Well, I guess we're done. Amazon cancelled my order automatically saying its out of stock and no idea for a restock. That Fabbri is looking more attractive.
