A lot of us get the false neutral. Honestly, not the best clutch in the business. Some
things we have discovered help prevent missed shifts/false neutrals:
1. Keep clutch play adjustment as close to stock as possible.
2. Fresh/different engine oil may help. Motul and Amsoil are popular alternatives.
3. Take the ballet slippers off. You have to be aggressive with the shifter. I personally find that quick and forceful shifts with just a fast feathering of the clutch are the smoothest.
But proper clutch adjustment is the biggest culprit. And the cable stretches out of spec fast in the first 1000 miles.
