HI everyone, newbie here. I have two fuel related issues.I bought a 2013 HS 800 last Friday. Rode it to work today 90 miles round trip - had to fill up. Clearly, this sucks.

(1) how the heck do I check my fuel level? Sorry to be stupid, but the manual was clear as mud.

(2) I saw a fuel tank extender by CA-CYCLEWORKS. Any idea if this works?

Rocks,
You have a 4.2 US gallon tank. About 3.8-3.9 usable. With premium, I get about 130 miles max riding it like it's stolen. You can milk above 150 being very ginger with the throttle.

That tank expander is for the pre-821 model HM. I can tell you for a fact that the expansion into the seat area wouldn't work on our model. If your that concerned about fuel range, best option is one of the external tank options, like Rotopod (?).

Just search. Lots to digest on this subject

Hw milage in my HS 939 up to 170 miles with aggressive riding . Crusing up to 200 miles at 60 miles per hour aprox.

As stated that CA tank won't fit our bikes, God knows I wish it would, I take a Rotopax on longer trips and have needed it twice...commuting shouldn't tap your present tank and the fuel light on mine trips WAY early...

While your bullshittin', I just watched some reviews of the new 950 HM. Smaller tank and still no fuel gauge. But that Panigale TFT display is amazeballs.
