Hi y'all,

I am a 31 year old guy from Hamburg, Germany. I work as a media designer and got into riding motorcycles since late summer last year. Started riding with the license in my pocket at the beginning of October. Since then I rode some 15k kilometers throughout the winter, spring and this summer on a brand new XJ6 Diversion F. Was a nice beginner bike and very forgiving for a rookie like me. But after I had my first bigger tour through Scotland from July 1st to 15th where I made approx. 4500 kilometers in 2 weeks, I started to realize that the XJ6 is a bit too weak and especially too small for a person 187cm tall. I felt severe pain in the knees after this tour which didn't even completely vanish yet - now 2 weeks later. So I went out to check out some bikes different from this sporty (un-)ergonomical positions. I rode a supersport once and didn't like it at all. So I thought, that it would be nice to go to a Ducati dealer first and see if I can get a hand on a Multistrada. I could have gotten but destiny somehow had other plans and I ended up riding a Hyperstrada. Love that Supermoto-style and after 4 hrs of test ride over 2 separate days I knew, I better stay in my budget and get that 'Tard. I fixed the deal and trade my XJ6 in tomorrow and drive home with my white HyperStrada. I also ordered the higher windshield as I felt the wind drag on the highway quite much. I test-drove a 0-km Yamaha Super Tenéré 1200 for an hour 2 months ago and I have to say that I loved it. But compared to the Hyperstrada, my memory tells me that the Tenéré was not as agile and even not necessarily stronger than this Motard-Duc.
Going to take a 100 - 200km ride tomorrow evening for the tires to rub in and goin' to keep trying to load and unload the engine for break-in after a indicated warm-up of the engine.
