Handguard upgrade options

Magazi Universal Mirrors (Italian made, distributed by Louis Shop in Germany) - these ones on amazon.com look similar.
Together with SW-Motech Mirror Extensions (I am quite a big boy and they help very well not to see my arms anymore).

I was looking for the Rizoma 4d but the Magazi mirrors are similar and also well made (of CNC aluminum) at the third of the price.

Thanks a bunch for all the legwork. Truly appreciate it.

One more question...the mirror extenders. Are they reverse threaded in the extension part for the left side like the factory or are the proper thread on both sides? To be clearer, I am talking about the part the mirror threads into and not the bar end. I can tell from the website that bolts provided are 1 reverse and one normal, but couldn't tell about the mirror threads on the extension.

The mirror threads on the extension are the same as on the HS bar.
  • Clutch control side: right-hand thread
  • Throttle side: left-hand thread
So you can use the stock mirrors if you want.
Just be sure to order the art.no. SVL.00.504.10200/B.

The Magazi mirrors I bought came with thread adapters to use it on every bike.

ATTENTION:
The mirrors in the amazon.com-link in my post above are NOT THE RIGHT ONES. They have 8 mm threads (for scooters) whereas our HS has 10 mm. I removed the link from my post. Sorry!

The DP handguards have a thick and pretty robust steel band in the middle that you will never break. The rest is plastic (good quality - but breakable depending on what you hit against it).
What could happen (well it happened to me ) - when you lay your bike down on the left side - the guards can twist upwards and kill your clutch cable. :(

Pretty sure that the DP hand guards have Aluminum spines up the middle not steel.

These are the Acerbis Supermoto Handguards. They are strong enough to protect the levers. They even have replaceable sliders! Tusk LED signals. Very reasonably priced too.

Just saw this on a MultiStrada today. Didn't even notice them the first time I looked.

If your stockers aren't broken, missing or at the very least scratched up... you don't need to "upgrade" as you obviously aren't utilizing them at all anyway.

That being said, they are cheap junk. Just like the bash guard. Just like the bags. Just like the bike as a whole. Cheap, pretty, fun to ride ... junk!

I went for the Barkbusters Storm guards in the end. Mounted some flushmount indicators in them. They're way better than the OEM ones, and they didn't break the bank either.

I can't find the Hyperstrada listed in the fitment listings on the Barkbuster site. Did you buy the ones for the Multi(old or new one?)?

TIA

Stock guards are a joke. These even have replaceable sliders!
