I used to have an R 1200 GS and a Sportster 1200 Roadster (and other bikes before them). I loved them and used them. When our baby came, I sold both bikes, one at a time. With all the new responsibilities and time constrains I didn't feel like riding anymore.

Three years it went fine, but then I suddenly started to feel an urge to own and ride a motorcycle again. Not quite sure what I wanted this time, I test rode various machines from Bonneville to CB1100 to a couple of Harleys. The only thing I knew for sure was that given the family and work time requirements, I needed a bike that would make me happy over a brief, max one hour ride. You know, those late summer evenings or a late sunday afternoon when wife volunteers to visit a friend and take our daughter with her. And then I tried the Hyperstrada.

Seriously, I have never had so much fun on a bike. Yes, the clutch is grabby and the riding position ball-crushing, but I fell in love immediately. Lon story short, I picked my my own, brand new Hyperstrada yesterday. No need to say I am looking forward to this latest chapter of my biking life!

Hi Cerv from Prague!
Test rode a hyperstrada two weeks ago and my new hypermotard will be here in two weeks.

Sweet bike so much fun and I think more fun than my sv650.

The way I find time to ride is the wife takes the kids to the chalupa and I ride my bike ;)

Wait a second...do Europeans really buy Harley's?!?

They sure do. Pretty much like in the US, a good portion of Harley owners are wealthy poseurs with no real interest in riding or motorcycles as such. But there are still many people who appreciate Harley feel and character. Though the bikes don't really work well on the narrow, curvy european roads, my second bike (if I'll ever have two again) would always be a Hog.
