Lunch today with a guy that just turned 65 and is wondering what to do with the rest of his life. I asked what he enjoyed, and he answered mowing the lawn.

So, here is the test:

Mowing your lawn, or exploring down this road?

Mowing perfect diamond pattern in your lawn, or exploring where this road takes you?

Mowing your lawn and perfectly trimming all edges, or dropping down to the ocean on this road?

Easy answer for most of us I suspect. I did route 12 through Grand Staircase/Escalante Ntl Monument up to 24 through Capitol Reef Ntl park. That was a fantastic day.

I guess it's either in the blood or not. I knew an 85yo gent that stopped riding track when he turned 86, "hanging up my leathers" was his response. He was refering to track riding only. I guess there are those who like mowing lawns & ......
